FANZINE
EXOCET
This is a fanzine about the typeface “Exocet,” designed by British typographer Jonathan Barnbrook for the Emigre Foundry in 1991.
Leveraging the font’s bold structure and its origins in ancient Greek stone carvings, I opted for a colour scheme of blue and black as blue symbolises stability and confidence, while black imparts an aura of secrecy and the unknown. This combination aims to evoke a mysterious aesthetic for the zine.

This spread is about the anatomy of Exocet. The layout mimics a staircase that guides the viewer’s eye from the alphabets to the symbols, presenting the font’s diverse characters.
The enlarged letter E accentuates the serifs and its structured form, while the gaps in the letter serve to emphasise the information contained within.
